What is MUNA?

Saudi Arabian Delegates

Each year approximately 60,000 high school and university students participate in a variety of "Model United Nations Assembly (MUNA)" programs worldwide.

MUNA is a miniature format of the UN General Assembly in which students act as controlling diplomats, and attempt to solve global issues using thought, compromise and negotiation.

Who Participates in MUNA?

Minister of Education Hazel Manning, Rotarian Leslie and two delegates to MUNA 2005

Over 130 students from more than 30 schools across Trinidad & Tobago. Each school sends 4 students, representing 2 countries per school.  Four students act as Secretary General, President and Deputy Secretary General  & President.

Participating students gain an in-depth knowledge of various nations of the world, develop skills in researching, debating and lobbying, as well as learning the ability to craft solutions to global issues through the melding of many ideas into agreements.

MUNA affords students a glimpse into the political structures and realities that guide our world.
